About the Event

Sahasra Chandi Homam is one of the most powerful and auspicious rituals in Shaiva-Shakta tradition. Over three consecutive days, 100 trained pandits will perform the complete Chandi Patha (Devi Mahatmyam) a thousand times alongside a continuous homam — a fire ritual of immense spiritual potency.

Spiritual Significance

Performing or participating in this homam is believed to bestow protection from all evil, fulfillment of desires, removal of obstacles, and divine grace of Maa Durga. Ancient scriptures declare that one who participates in or sponsors a Sahasra Chandi attains merit equivalent to performing Ashwamedha Yagna.

What Happens Each Day

Day 1 — Kalasha Sthapana, Ganapati Puja and beginning of Chandi Patha. Day 2 — Continuous recitation, Navavarana Puja, and afternoon homam. Day 3 — Purnahuti, Devi Darshan, and Maha Prasadam distribution to all participants.
